Description: - An early 20th Century silver fronted, 14ct yellow gold backed, lapis lazuli, diamond, and ruby turtle brooch. The brooch is crafted in gold and silver, the body is formed with an oval-shaped lapis lazuli cabochon, with rose-cut diamonds set to the legs and head, and ruby gemstones forming the eyes. As was common for the period the brooch is unhallmarked, and has been tested, and confirmed to be 14ct yellow gold minimum fineness, and silver fronted. The pin is base metal.

Measurement: - The brooch measures 3.0cm (length) x 1.8cm (height) x 2.0cm (depth).
Weight: - 6.1 grams / 0.20 troy ounces.
Condition: - The brooch is in good antique condition. The pin, and clasp both work perfectly. Minor surface scratches to the reverse. The lapis lazuli, diamonds, & rubies are all in good overall condition. Gemstone treatment: unknown. Please see images for confirmation of condition.
